After spending many years in project and business management in Corporate America, Michael took the leap and started a home staging business working mostly with builders, designing and staging their model homes. With a keen eye for scale and color, Michael has completed 109 full home model projects and 26 partial model homes since 2002. Other projects have included working with several private new homebuilders through the initial planning stages, design and selection of materials, and installation and move. And, since Michael has a passion for order and design, he has also worked with many clients to organize and update their current homes to create a clean, fresh look.
Michael is now taking his previous experience in project management and his design experience and combining them into Mode Home Styling. As a Certified Project Manager, he will be using these skills to coordinate client moves and oversee design projects. Michael brings a more traditional design style to compliment Alexandria’s more modern style.
Alex’s interest in design began when she started working for her dad part time designing and installing model homes. After doing that for some time, she learned she had a passion for design, which led her to pursue a degree in interior design. Alex chose Chattahoochee Technical College for its reputation as a small real world, hands-on classroom experience. While at school, she had the opportunity to work on several real world projects. Some of these projects included:
It was exciting to see these projects develop from start to finish. Alex was also given the honor along with another student to complete a project outside of class. We worked with the Bent Tree Community’s Architectural Control Committee to develop a system of standardized paint color packages for their community homes. While in school, she also interned at Outrageous Interiors in Kennesaw. At this internship, she was able to get a hands-on experience helping real customers design their homes. Upon obtaining her degree, Alex started working with her dad again and joined the Mode Home Styling family. She brings a young, fresh approach to design.
